A Symphony in Colour - Hoverfly on a cornflower
This is one of my favourite photos. I planted a wildflower patch to attract insects into my garden, and they certainly obliged! Here I have tried to create a picture with the emphasis on colour, with the red provided by poppies in the background. I found just the angle I needed, experimented with depth of field, and waited for a hoverfly or bee to land in the right place. And this is the result.
