This picture was taken at 6.15am in June, and already the sun is well up in the sky, though still casting long shadows. Mickleden is at the head of the Langdale Valley, and from the top of the pass over to Little Langdale are spectacular views of the Langdale Pikes, The Band and Bowfell, (and Crinkle Crags out to the left of this picture).
